About this Calculator

The Suprainguinal Bypass Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI) Cardiac Risk Index (CRI) was created using previously described methodology involving univariate analysis, bootstrapping and internal validation using 10-fold cross-validation.1 The Suprainguinal bypass VQI CRI is applicable to any elective suprainguinal bypass performed for chronic, occlusive disease. The VQI-CRI has been internally validated in a cohort of over 8,000 patients but has not yet been validated within an external dataset.

The Vascular Quality Initiative Cardiac Risk Index (VQI-CRI) was developed from a cohort of over 61,000 combined vascular surgery procedures and predicts the risk of in-hospital postoperative myocardial infarction. The VQI-CRI has been internally validated in a cohort of over 27,000 patients but has not yet been validated within an external dataset.
