  • These weight-for-stature standards are available as an alternative to BMI for assessment of over or undernutrition in children ages 2-5 years. However, health care providers should consider using the BMI-for-age charts to be consistent with current recommendations.
  • This calculator uses measured standing height for children ages 2 to 5 years, and is not valid for recumbent length.
  1. Percentile conversion from Z-Score is done by table look-up in the standard Normal Table. Percentiles are provided for Z Scores between -3.09 and 3.09. Values beyond these extremes return percentiles of 0.1 and 99.9 respectively.
