Profound sedation, respiratory depression, coma, and death may result if coadministered. Reserve concomitant prescribing of these drugs in patients for whom other treatment options are inadequate. Limit dosages and durations to the minimum required. Monitor closely for signs of respiratory depression and sedation.

              • pramlintide

                pramlintide, cyclizine. Either increases effects of the other by pharmacodynamic synergism. Contraindicated. Synergistic inhibition of GI motility.

              • secretin

                cyclizine decreases effects of secretin by pharmacodynamic antagonism. Avoid or Use Alternate Drug. Concomitant use of anticholinergic drugs may cause a hyporesponse to stimulation testing with secretin. Discontinue anticholinergic drugs at least 5 half-lives before administering secretin.

              • sodium oxybate

                cyclizine, sodium oxybate. Either increases effects of the other by pharmacodynamic synergism. Avoid or Use Alternate Drug.               Mechanism of Action

              Cyclizine is a piperazine derivative that has antiemetic, anticholinergic, and antihistaminic properties; reduces the sensitivity of the labyrinthine apparatus and has central actions on the chemoreceptor trigger zone
