Progressive fibrosing interstitial lung diseases (PF-ILDs) are a diverse group of ILDs that share a similar disease behavior. The successful management of patients with PF-ILD requires an accurate and specific diagnosis.
Progressive fibrosis occurs in a variety of ILD subtypes but currently lacks a standardized definition. Clinically, progressive fibrosis is identified using routinely acquired indicators and by applying clinical trial criteria.
In this panel ReCAP, Dr Imre Noth and Dr Ayodeji Adegunsoye discuss emerging data and insights on how best to approach the diagnosis and management of PF-ILD.
The panelists discuss the cornerstones of PF-ILD diagnosis, available therapies, and factors that affect therapy selection. They will also share insights on how to monitor these patients to optimize favorable outcomes.
