#10 Clinical Trend: Patau Syndrome

Two things thrust Patau syndrome into the spotlight this month. In England, a teacher named Joanne Edwards asked for donations of wedding dresses; her plan is to sell them to raise proceeds to benefit Friends of Serenity, a charity she started after she lost her baby to Patau syndrome. Also this month, a new study explored epileptic spasms and early-onset photosensitive epilepsy in patients with Patau syndrome.
