      #1 Clinical Trend: RDW Blood Test

      Researchers have found a new use for red blood cell distribution width (RDW) measurement. RDW may be able to help differentiate between more severe and less severe instances of sepsis. Although further studies are needed, this is certainly encouraging news regarding a serious clinical situation.
