#5 Clinical Trend: Paraphimosis

In Florida, a dispute between parents regarding their 4-year-old son’s circumcision took an extreme course when the mother, Heather Hironimus, was jailed for 9 days as part of the ongoing battle. Paraphimosis is a condition only seen in uncircumcised or partially circumcised penises. The health aspects surrounding this highly publicized dispute no doubt resulted in increased searches for this related condition.
