#4 Clinical Trend: Erythema Migrans
Summer months mean plenty of outdoor activities, which increases the risk of tick bites and tick-borne diseases. Searches for erythema migrans, the characteristic “bull’s eye rash” that is associated with Lyme disease, likely speak on a seasonal basis. Last month, however, the term got another boost when singer Avril Lavigne began publicly discussing her battle with Lyme disease.
