A 35-year-old man is brought to the emergency department (ED) by the local emergency medical services after a fall from his motorcycle. The patient was on his way to work when, while traveling at 30 mph, his motorcycle caught the edge of the sidewalk, which led to the fall.
The patient denies having lost consciousness. He is an otherwise healthy man who is not on any medications and has no history of allergies. He denies having ingested any recreational drugs.
