The following treatment recommendations are indicated in the management of NSCLC:

  • Stage I: surgical resection

  • Stage II: surgical resection

  • Stage IIIA: chemoradiotherapy, surgical resection (in selected patients)

  • Stage IIIB: chemoradiotherapy

  • Stage IV: cisplatin-based chemotherapy (only in patients with good performance status and weight loss < 10% of body weight), surgical resection of solitary metastatic lesion with resectable primary tumor
