Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is one of the 10 clinically recognized personality disorders listed in the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5). It belongs to the subset of cluster B personality disorders, which are marked by an intense degree of drama and emotionality.
