Clinical Trend of the Week (June 10-16): Sacrum Cancer
Once again, the health of a popular public figure resulted in the top search term this week. Singer and actress Olivia Newton-John revealed that her cancer has returned. She was first diagnosed with breast cancer 25 years ago, after which point the performer became an outspoken advocate for prevention and treatment. Recently, she had developed back pain, which was determined to be caused by breast cancer that metastasized to her sacrum. Newton-John plans to undergo photon radiation therapy, along with other wellness therapies, during her treatment. As the public keeps an eye on her health, professionals in the field will keep an eye on diagnosis and treatment developments related to her underlying condition.
