The USPSTF recommends biennial screening mammography for breast cancer in women aged 50 to 74 years. Current evidence for the use of digital breast tomosynthesis as a primary screening method for breast cancer is insufficient. Likewise, the USPSTF determined that the use of breast ultrasonography, MRI, or digital breast tomosynthesis in women identified as having dense breasts on an otherwise negative screening mammogram is insufficient.
