Chronic renal insufficiency is a contraindication for continent urinary diversion after RC.

After cystectomy is performed, a continent or incontinent urinary diversion must be created. In addition to chronic renal insufficiency, relative contraindications to performing continent urinary diversions include the presence of multiple comorbid health conditions, hepatic dysfunction, and advanced disease stage.
