An increased incidence of nasal polyps has been found in patients with cystic fibrosis; those with aspirin-hypersensitivity triad may also have increased susceptibility. Only 1.5% of individuals with allergic rhinitis have nasal polyps; conversely, 5% of nonallergic individuals have nasal polyps. No gender or racial predilection for nasal polyps has been reported.
