Polyarticular disease and late-onset psoriasis may be associated with increased cardiovascular risk in patients with psoriatic arthritis. Careful evaluation of cardiovascular risk in patients with polyarticular disease and late onset of psoriasis is prudent. Polyarticular disease has a poorer prognosis with a lower incidence of remission than oligoarticular disease and with an increased risk for joint erosion and deformity.
