Norovirus infection and COVID-19 share several symptoms, including:
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea
Headaches
Muscle or body aches
Fatigue
Fever
However, COVID-19 is associated with other symptoms, including:
Anosmia
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Sore throat
Congestion or runny nose
Patients with norovirus typically have vomiting that is profuse. Abdominal cramps and watery, nonbloody diarrhea are common. The fever associated with norovirus is typically low-grade, although temperatures may be higher as well.
