If Tdap was not previously received at or after age 11 years, the CDC recommends administering 1 dose Tdap, then Td or Tdap every 10 years. Additionally, if the primary vaccination series for Tdap was not received previously, the CDC recommends administering at least 1 dose Tdap followed by 1 dose Td or Tdap at least 4 weeks after Tdap and another dose of Td or Tdap 6-12 months after the last Td or Tdap. Then, give Td or Tdap every 10 years. In case of pregnancy, 1 dose Tdap should be administered for each pregnancy, preferably during gestational weeks of 27 to 36.
