According to joint guidelines from the European Society of Cardiology and the European Atherosclerosis Society, patients at high risk (10-year risk for cardiovascular death of 5% to < 10%) are advised to use an LDL-C reduction of at least 50% from baseline and a target LDL-C level < 1.8 mmol/L (< 70 mg/dL).
