Chronic migraine is a highly disabling neurologic condition with global prevalence rates that have been reported to range from 1% to 5% of the population. However, some studies, such as the CaMEO Study, have described a much higher prevalence.

Chronic migraine is defined as migraine that is present on at least 15 days per month for more than 3 months. Treatment typically involves a combination of acute (abortive) and preventive (prophylactic) therapy, as well as lifestyle and trigger management.
