MR angiography is not used for confirming a diagnosis of ADPKD, but it is an important tool for screening for and surveillance of unruptured intracranial aneurysms in patients with ADPKD.

Among patients with detected incidental intracranial aneurysm, annual surveillance MR angiography should be performed and treatment may be considered in patients with growing, high-risk aneurysms.
