All children younger than 2 years should be vaccinated with PCV13. The primary series consists of three doses routinely given at 2, 4, and 6 months of age. The first dose can be given as early as 6 weeks of age. A fourth (booster) dose should be given between 12 and 15 months. For children vaccinated when they are younger than 12 months, the minimum interval between doses is 4 weeks. Separate doses given to children at 12 months of age and older by at least 8 weeks.
