Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a rare subtype of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. As with many other B-cell malignancies, MCL comprises a wide variety of biological and clinical variants. Consequently, its diagnosis can be challenging. The disease course in most cases is aggressive, highlighting the importance of effective management. In recent decades, improved outcomes of frontline regimens as well as the introduction of several new and emerging agents have ushered in a new era in the management of MCL, with a median overall survival of up to 9.4 years.
