Creatinine phosphokinases and urine myoglobin are important laboratory tests to order in patients with suspected rhabdomyolysis. Blood gas analysis and serum glucose levels are important tests to order when evaluating patients with hyperkalemia and diabetes and those with suspected acidosis. Measurements of uric acid and phosphorus should be ordered in patients with suspected tumor lysis syndrome.
