The causes of obesity are multifaceted and include genetic, physiologic, behavioral, sociocultural, and environmental factors. Thus, an integrated and wide-ranging approach based on comprehensive lifestyle management (diet, exercise, and behavioral therapy), with consideration of pharmacologic therapy, is needed to achieve adequate weight loss in patients with obesity. Self-monitoring of caloric intake and physical activity
Goal setting
Stimulus control
Nonfood rewards
Relapse prevention
