Chronic migraine is defined as migraine that is present on at least 15 days per month and has the elements of migraine on at least eight of those days, over a period of at least 3 months. It is a highly disabling neurologic condition with global prevalence rates that have been reported to range from 1% to 5% of the population.
Chronic migraine can negatively affect many aspects of life, such as marital, parenting, romantic, and family relationships; career/financial achievement and stability; and overall health.
