Disease activity and burden are best measured with a composite score, assessing both objective and subjective symptoms, such as SCORAD. Another good tool to use clinically is the Eczema Area and Severity Index. The other scales named above, OSAAS and IGA, are used primarily in clinical studies. They may occasionally be helpful in the office setting but were not designed for that purpose.
