September 15, 2022

A recent meta-analysis compared the efficacy and safety of doripenem therapy for nosocomial pneumonia with other antimicrobial agents in adult patients between January 1, 2000, and April 30, 2022. Studies included 952 patients in the doripenem group and 1183 patients in the comparator group. Comparator antimicrobial agents included meropenem, imipenem-cilastatin, and piperacillin-tazobactam. Results showed similar outcomes for both groups in all-cause mortality, clinical cure rate, microbiological cure rate, and adverse events.
