Several medications are indicated for treatment of BED; however, lisdexamfetamine is the only stimulant approved for treatment of moderate to severe BED in adults. Dextroamphetamine is indicated for the treatment of ADHD and narcolepsy in adults and children, whereas dexmethylphenidate and serdexmethylphenidate-dexmethylphenidate are indicated solely for the treatment of ADHD in adults and children.
