The American Association of Poison Control Centers reported more than 11,000 CCB overdoses in adults, second only to beta-blockers. Many factors could affect a CCB overdose, including age, formulation, comorbidities, and ingesting with cardioactive medications. Even consuming a small CCB could become life-threatening, especially in pediatric patients.
