Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a lymphoproliferative disorder representing an uncommon type of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. While it is a highly heterogeneous disease, in most patients, it follows an aggressive disease course.

Clinical presentation varies, and symptoms may be similar to other lymphoproliferative disorders. Differential diagnosis includes other small B-cell lymphomas such as B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic leukemia, splenic marginal zone lymphoma, and hairy cell leukemia among others. Thus, a rigorous workup is required to establish the diagnosis.
