Hypertension is a common sign of CKD but is not considered an independent marker of CKD, as it is common among individuals without CKD as well. Both albuminuria and GFR should be used to improve the prognostic accuracy in assessing CKD. Reduced exercise capacity and fatigue are symptoms associated with anemia in CKD.
