According to a targeted search of the scientific literature on long COVID conducted by the ERS Task Force, fatigue was reported as the most persistent symptom among patients with long COVID-19 (50%-65% of patients); anxiety and depression were the penultimate symptoms of long COVID (20%-40% of patients).

The patient fits this profile, reporting persistent fatigue and irritability, which is associated with anxiety and depression.
