Non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and small cell lung cancer are the two major types of lung cancer. NSCLC, which affects both smokers and nonsmokers, comprises several lung cancers that behave similarly, such as adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. About 85% of lung cancers fall within this category, and because they have often metastasized before diagnosis, early detection of NSCLC is essential. Best practices and standards of care for NSCLC change quickly as clinical research advances. For these reasons, it can be a challenge for clinicians from various practices to stay on top of the latest research.
What is your proficiency with the most recent findings on NSCLC, including genomic profiling, response to a COVID-19 variant, and approved treatments? Test your knowledge with this short quiz.
