Those who are CYP2C19 poor metabolizers are more likely to be Asian or Oceanian. followed by East Asian. White patients are least likely to be CYP2C19 poor metabolizers. Smoking may increase the platelet inhibitory effects of clopidogrel. No evidence suggests that a lacto-ovo vegetarian diet affects the CYP2C19 gene metabolic process.
