A recent systematic review found that yoga breathing practices but not yoga postures improved IOP in patients with glaucoma. The review results showed that slow yogic breathing techniques (eg, Jyoti-Trataka, gazing steadily on a candle flame or point) reduces IOP in patients with glaucoma, whereas studies on yoga postures (eg, inversion Asanas) showed that IOP increased rapidly soon after starting the activity.
